The Rosetta · a functional transformation grammar

Seven functions.
One accountable
grammar.

Start with what a move does: constrain, remove, enable, commit, create, dissolve, or preserve. In the internal model, Φ names D5 possible power and V names D4 actual power. The grammar helps classify a move; authorization, costs, and observed consequences still decide how it should be judged.

The functional stone

Read the function before the symbol.

Possible futures do not act by themselves. A present model must evaluate them, actual capability must carry any commitment, and the consequence must remain available to correct the classification.

V₄ = D4 actual power
Φ₅ = D5 possible power
Φ̂₄ = Eval₄(M, Φ₅)
P_node := min(Φ̂₄, V₄)  ·  selected ordinal AND-class convention

The convention requires one declared common ordinal normalization and preserves bottleneck order only. It supplies no metric; the historical product ranking is retired.

L1 · constrain

Mark the pressure, exclusion, or boundary that prevents false coherence from passing unnoticed.

L2 · remove

Cut a contradiction, overclaim, or failed component while leaving its evidence and provenance inspectable.

L3 · enable

Increase another actor's usable information, options, or capacity without pretending that possibility has already become action.

L4 · commit

Spend actual capability on one bounded, authorized move whose cost and result can be recorded.

L5 · create

Design a new structure or possibility space and expose its assumptions and boundary conditions.

L6 · dissolve

Retire a structure that no longer carries value, preserving what survives and how the decision was reached.

L7 · preserve

Carry a tested pattern, record, or witness forward without turning compression into new authority.

Primary axis on this page: constrain, remove, enable, commit, create, dissolve, preserve. These seven close a declared transformation language, not nature. Runtime dispatch roles such as Firewall, Auditor, Architect, and Witness are a separate application axis that reuses L1–L7; they are not synonyms for the transformation functions. Neither axis classifies human worth.

Optional symbolic layer — demons, gods, and titans [I/C]

Research fence: these names are mnemonic and comparative, not ranks of people or cultures, not a universal genealogy, and not evidence transferred from a tradition into the functional grammar. Independent review by relevant tradition-holders and subject-matter scholars remains owed. No label authorizes an act.

Demons · taking

Kali 🎲 and Kālī 💀 name two adversarial or subtractive faces in this internal symbolism. Kālī remains explicitly two-faced: demon-polar on the taking axis, truth-cutting in function.

Gods · giving

Kṛṣṇa ◇ and Arjuna ⚔ name two enabling or committing faces: widen modeled possibility, or spend actual capability on a bounded move.

Titans · framing

Brahmā ○, Śiva •, and Viṣṇu ⊙ name creation, dissolution, and preservation as boundary frames rather than sovereign agents.

Symbolic shorthand: G7 = M4 ⊎ F3. Lowercase φ and ν remain chart coordinates; the three framing roles remain non-agent roles in this declared model.

One move, translated

A possibility becomes answerable.

A team imagines a better onboarding flow. The future itself does nothing. A present model evaluates it, actual means carry one bounded test, and the outcome decides what survives.

Φ₅ · possible

Several futures can be represented and compared.

V₄ · actual

One designer, one day, and ten consenting users are available now.

Finity

Reduce first-session abandonment by a declared amount in one bounded trial.

Receipt

The observed result widens, revises, or kills the modeled possibility.

Primary functional reading: constrain, remove, enable, commit, create, dissolve, or preserve. An optional symbolic M4/F3 lens groups the first four as giving/taking transfers and the last three as boundary frames; authorization and received consequence still determine what actually happened.

The honesty layer

Before the table: how to read it

How to read this

Observation first, geometry second.

  1. The first claim is empirical-comparative: seven rows repeatedly align across several domains.
  2. The operators are then inferred as the simplest row-generators that preserve the pattern.
  3. The sphere is inferred after the rows and operators, not assumed at the start.
  4. The reciprocal closure follows on the open sphere with φ = cot(θ/2), ν = tan(θ/2), and φ·ν = 1.

Evidence weights

The table is tiered, not flattened.

[B] columns carry the main evidential load. [S] columns can strengthen the structure. [I] columns are interpretive. [C] columns remain conjectural.

Legacy test language should be read conservatively as structural support unless the source column has direct independent backing.

Kill criteria · fired 2026-07-13

The Rosetta must be allowed to weaken — and it has.

If the seven-row alignment is shown to be forced, or if new strong domains break the alignment rather than refine it, the Rosetta weakens or falls. A public canon has to preserve that failure mode.

What the algebra does rescue (adjudication 2026-07-13). The objection that the seven are algebraically forced was tested and half-upheld. The mirror-ladder grammar is a genuine algebraic object inside the declared construction — the inversion z↦1/z forces a fixed centre and mirror pairs; the sign square forces four moves — and owes nothing to any tradition; "curated relatives" undersells it. But the algebra forces an odd ladder (3/5/7/9…) and four moves, not seven: "seven" is a 4 + 3 stitch of movers to boundary-frames, and by the corpus's own order-of-inference the operators were abduced from the rows — so they cannot be independent evidence for them. The formal mirror shape exists within the declared algebra; the census of seven and convergence-as-proof do not follow.

Named confound · new 2026-07-13

The cleanest column's "seven" is the seven planets.

The Mithraic grades — this table's strongest-fitting initiatory column — are the seven classical planets (Corax→Pater = Mercury→Saturn). Their "seven" is the naked-eye sky, the same septenary that gives seven days and seven metals, diffused across one Hellenistic-Mediterranean-Vedic family. So the witness that agrees best has its number over-determined by astronomy, not discovered from the balance-ladder — and the traditions that don't fit are exactly the ones outside that family. Independence and fit run opposite: the fingerprint of shared descent, not independent discovery. Named here per A7 — a fired confound the corpus had not surfaced.

Scope guard

Rosetta maps beings and Dasein-structures.

The Rosetta is strongest as a cross-domain map of beings, practices, initiations, operators, and disclosed structures. It does not directly prove the core state. The ontological reading remains tiered and must be argued separately.

Mirror-pair scoreboard

Some columns carry the mirror better than others.

Strong public columns Operator, Pramāṇa, Varṇa, and much of the Mithraic structure carry the cleanest mirror-pair signal.
Weak or deferred columns Computation, the upper neuroscience half, and several Plato placements remain partial, failed, or deferred.
Pole correction φ·ν = 1 holds on the open sphere. At L0 and L∞ the product is undefined, though the limiting product tends toward 1.
Why keep the full table? The full Rosetta is a discovery surface. The public reading should still know which columns are evidence, which are structure, and which remain open work.

The instrument, demonstrated

Pick the column you already read.

This instrument tests proposed analogies across seven numbered positions. The first tab restates the transformation functions in ordinary work language. The other tabs are interpretive comparisons, not identities, derivations, or transferred evidence.

L1constrains — marks the pressure or boundary that must not be hidden
L2removes — cuts a contradiction or failed component while preserving its record
L3enables — widens another actor's usable information, options, or capability
L4commits a bounded action within its declared authority
L5creates — designs a new structure and makes its boundary conditions visible
L6dissolves — retires a structure that no longer carries value
L7preserves — carries a tested pattern forward without making new authority

cross-register rows are proposed analogies [I], not identities · mirror pairs share a colour · L4 is the equator

Optional comparative research

The functional grammar does not need borrowed authority.

The table below preserves the project's cross-tradition search surface. It is folded because resemblance is a prompt for scholarship, not proof of common origin, universal rank, or metaphysical truth.

Review boundary: rows are provisional correspondences selected by this project. They do not collapse living traditions into one system, rank their practitioners, or transfer a tradition's authority to Emergentism. Independent review by relevant scholars and tradition-holders is still required; disagreement must remain visible.

* Firewall through Witness are runtime dispatch applications, a separate axis from the transformation functions led above. This project's varṇa analogy is an optional operational-role map, never birth status, race, inherited privilege, sovereign identity, or automatic authority. Reusing L1–L7 does not make the axes identical, and that distinction does not substitute for external cultural review.
